PETRÓPOLIS

The Former Summer Residence of the KingThis town on the hills counts today 300.000 inhabitants. The ride to Petropolis goes along a wonderful landscape and is only therefore already worth an excursion. Petropolis itself exudes a cozy charm. The former royal boulevards can be cruised by horse-drawn carriages. It takes 1.5 to 2 hours by bus for the 65 kilometers to get there from Rio. The perfect distance for a day tour.  City of Petrópolis (video)
